Your answers show genuine progress in places, alongside a few areas that would cause problems if AI were rolled out more widely today. This is the most common result, and it is a good place to be.
You have enough in place to get value from AI, but not yet enough to do it safely and consistently across the business. The usual pattern is that the technology is further ahead than the guidance, so people are already using AI without a clear sense of what is and is not sensible.
Businesses at this stage typically have most files in the cloud, a handful of people using AI well, and no written rules. Access was set up sensibly at some point but has not been reviewed since. Progress is real, it is just uneven.
Pick off the two or three weakest areas rather than trying to fix everything at once. Written AI guidance and a proper access review usually give the biggest return for the least effort, and both are quick.
If helpful, we can take this a step further and work with you to put a clear plan in place, including a more detailed AI readiness review and ongoing support, so AI is introduced safely and delivers real value.
